Our Mission
In close collaboration with other units of the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR), and with research administration personnel in colleges and departments, the Faculty Research Development Office (FRDO) strengthens the impact of UNM’s research portfolio by facilitating proposal development and bolstering faculty research, scholarship, and creative activity to increase the diversity, quality, volume, and success rates of external funding proposals. We do this primarily by providing direct facilitation and strategic planning support for researchers/teams and by sharing broader grantsmanship training and resources with the UNM community.
