Young Investigator Innovation Grants

  • Deadline - November 15, 2018
  • Who is eligible?
    • Individuals who are no more than an assistant professor are eligible.
    • Someone who is or has been a PI on an NIH/NIMH research grant or its equivalent does not qualify as a Young Investigator.
  • What is the budget and duration?
    • Up to $90,000 over 2 years. 
    • $10,000 ($5,000/year) must be allocated for an established suicide researcher to mentor the Young Investigator. 
  • Additional Notes
    • All AFSP research grants are designed to support research on suicide from a variety of disciplines including psychiatry, medicine, psychology, genetics, epidemiology, neurobiology, sociology, nursing, health services administration, social work, and many others.
